Abstract
The writers discuss Wirt’s Gary Plan study and note that it can not only lessen some of the problems of the K–12 education, but can also vastly improve existing technology education programs. He describes Wirt’s philosophy that states public schools should tender an oasis to implant the principles of family, work, and efficiency among urban students and create an efficient, orderly society of solid, productive citizens. He explains how Gary plan elements could assist education; how it could help technology education as a discipline, and concludes that infusing it in a designed way; it can help ease overcrowded schools, and can meet the wants of all students through varied levels of experiential activities.
