Abstract
The blaberid cockroach genus Pycnoscelus Scudder is rediagnosed. De-scriptive remarks and a key are given for most of the known species. Pycnoscelus femapterus, sp. nov., from Burma, Java, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand, is described; it is the only Pycnoscelus known in which the female lacks tegmina and wings and resembles a nymph. © 1998 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
