Abstract

This study addresses the issue of student perceptions of agricultural education in relationship to academic subjects, including gender · and ethnicity differences. The study focused on a contemporary curricula problem concerning the integration of academic and vocational subjects. The study was a part of a comprehensive research and evaluation project that will assist school administrators, teachers and guidance counselors to respond to a State Department Mandate for curriculum development, guidance and career counseling; and to implement a Carl Perkins funded Agricultural Technology Preparation Initiative. The model for this analysis could be used with other technology preparation projects in agricultural education. The
