Abstract
In Indonesia, particularly Bali, there exists a deep-seated memory of the past and noble values that can propel the nation onto the world stage. One such example is the tale of Tantri Kamandaka, better known through Ni Diah Tantri's rendition in the community. Unfortunately, Tantri's story has not yet been packaged in a more engaging and contextual form befitting its time. The research problem in this study focuses on how to transform Tantri's narrative into a Flipbook media for the development of Hindu literary media literacy. The goal is to revive the noble narrative of Tantri's tale in a more captivating, creative, and modern context. Presenting Tutur Tantri content in Flipbook format allows young readers to discover a new style of reading akin to popular foreign comics rich in local wisdom that their country offers. For instance, popular comics like Dragon Ball, Doraemon, and One Piece are widely circulated in Indonesia due to their modern presentation and captivating illustrations. Indonesia itself possesses abundant local wisdom that should be modernized and made contemporary, such as through comics or digital media. Tutur Tantri endeavors to do this by packaging it into Flipbook form, maximizing the storyline, narrative, and characters within Ni Diah Tantri's tale. Tutur Tantri highlights a female superhero who battles against evil created by Eswaryadala. There is a strong hope that through effective socialization and education, this Flipbook will gain wide recognition and be able to rival the Japanese anime trend.
