Abstract
One of the main characteristics of grounded theory-based qualitative research designs is their flexible nature (Glaser & Strauss, 2006; Strauss & Corvin, 2002). This flexibility entails constant reflexion and decision-making, throughout the entire analytic process, based on the dialogue between the information collected and the interpretive frameworks that makes it possible to take a stance in the construction of the generated knowledge (Charmaz, 2006, 2015, 2017). When this task is carried out through joint participation, different dialogical spaces are generated at different cognitive levels (individual and social). This allows for the continuous contrasting and negotiating of the meanings and the theory that is being built, enhancing the reflexivity of the process. The aim of this article is to present a model of analysis and construction of a system of categories based on this design. This proposal aims to integrate the reflexive and dialogical processes as criteria specific to qualitative, interpretive and critical research that allow for contributing to the justification of the validity of the analyses carried out. This process is framed within the context of a broader mix-design research project on the topic of homework in the province of Granada during the academic year 2019-2020. As a result, the steps followed and the different levels of analysis involved in the decision-making in the course of the joint analysis process are described, providing the example of the construction of one of the categories involved in the generated system.
