Abstract

In this article we talk about the deficiencies identified in the implementation of gender Mainstreaming in organizations supporting the constructs of gender cul- ture and climate. It allows us to define the concept of gender equality competence and develop a classification of them. We have relied on theory sociocultural con- tributions and the Doing Gender perspective to characterize this term. These com- petencies are capacities that can have the members of an organization that influ- ence the organizational culture. Also, we think these competences are essential to the professional performance of the implementation of gender Mainstreaming. Fi- nally, we propose intervention lines in order to achieve equality between women and men in organizations.
