Abstract

The article examines randomized controlled trials (RCT) describing or reviewing methods to prevent diabetic foot ulcers. Review articles were obtained from Medline and PubMed between January 1, 1960 and April 30, 2010. One study was conducted by J. M. Malone and colleagues which focused on diabetic education to prevent foot amputation. Another study was conducted by L. E. Uccioli and colleagues which focused on the use of therapeutic shoes by patients with previous foot ulceration.
