Abstract

The Ni-P coatings were deposited on closed-cell aluminum foams substrate by electroless process. Electroless coatings cover the entire surface of the foams (thickness ̃30 μm) with a high corrosion resistance (corrosion current density 15.5 μA/cm 2, as compared to the 308.8 μA/cm 2 of as-received aluminum foams). © 2011 The Japan Institute of Metals.
