Abstract

This paper is dedicated to Philip S. Corbet on the occasion of his 70th birthday. Abstract Four observations relevant to the phylogenetic status of Hemiphlebia and a new locality record are reported. The observations concern lack of closure of the forewing arculus, retention of paraglossae in the larvae, the chromosome number, and the morphology of the sperm. The record is for a new site in Tasmania. © 1999 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
