Abstract

Two new drimane sesquiterpenoids, changweikangic acid A (1) and B (2), were isolated from Compound Changweikang. Their structures were established on basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses including two dimensional (2D) NMR and X-ray crystallographic data. The two compounds were evaluated for their inhibitory activity against nitric oxide production in lipopolysaccharide- activated macrophage cell line, RAW 264.7 cells. © 2010 Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
