Abstract

In this paper, simulation results with type-1 fuzzy systems and a type-2 fuzzy granular approach for intelligent control of non-linear dynamical plants are presented. First, the proposed method for intelligent control using a type-2 fuzzy granular approach is described. Then, the proposed method is illustrated with the benchmark case of three tank water level control. Finally, a comparison between a type-1 fuzzy system and the type-2 fuzzy granular system for water control is presented. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
