La elección del método deductivo por Louis Hjelmslev en Prolegómenos a una teoría del lenguaje

Abstract

: The present paper aims to analyse the choice made in Prolegómenos a una teoría del lenguaje by Louis Hjelmslev in favour of the scientific method and the argument which supports such decision. For that purpose the types of reasoning applied on the course of validation of knowledge and the explanations outlined by the author in order to justify the rejection of the inductive method and the adoption of the deductive method will be explained. To conclude, the relation between the theory and the data connected to the purely deductive nature of the linguistic theory proposed by Hjelmslev will also be explored.
