Abstract

Even in era of magnetic resonance (MR) and computed tomography (CT) skeletal x-ray takes its place in peripheral bones imaging algorithm. In traumatic changes around joints the forces are coming out from muscle injury or overload, but its outcome is usually a small bone fragment - avulsion on X-ray. These findings are predominant in young adults or sportsmen, because of association with sport activities and increased motion. Mostly involved areas are shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, pelvis, knee, ankle and foot.
