Carbodiazenylation of olefins by radical iodine transfer and addition to arenediazonium salts

Abstract

Carbodiazenylation of olefins can be achieved with arenediazonium salts under reductive conditions. The method can be extended to aliphatic substituents when iodine compounds are present in the reaction mixture.
