A rare case of amiodarone-induced hypothyroidism presenting with cardiac tamponade

Abstract

Subclinical pericardial effusions are common in patients with untreated hypothyroidism and usually resolve with thyroid replacement therapy, but cardiac tamponade is a rare presentation of prolonged untreated hypothyroidism.
