Analisis Budaya Feminisme dan Politik pada Perjalanan Karir Miss Americana: Taylor Swift

Abstract

Taylor Swift has been a new phenomenon in society for more than a decade. Its existence is often a manipulative trait, dramatic response, and some other negative influences. In this article, researchers will attempt to describe the career journey of Taylor Swift and describe several dark sides that influence every journey that the singer from the United States goes through, one of which is the culture of feminism and politics. The development of an increasingly complex and transparent society also encourages these two cultures to be interesting in research. Therefore, by using a qualitative method, this article will explore in-depth many conflicts that occurred in the documentary, particularly regarding the cultural aspects that are the focus of the research. Also, through the psychoanalytic approach by Sigmund Freud, this article discusses the relationship between the main character and the self and other external parties. The results of this study show that there is a toxic masculinity culture that has significantly influenced Taylor over the past decade, no wonder Taylor has the ambition to uphold feminism from year to year. It was this feminist movement that later also brought Taylor to plunge into various aspects of life to voice his political voice, and millions of others, about the state of society that is not friendly to women.
