Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to examine the connection between the corporate reputation and the companies considered socially responsible using as a reference the S&P/BMV IPC Index as well as the MERCO Index. It is based on the premise that focusing their efforts towards sustainability, a company can reach a higher social development and a positive perception among their groups of interest. This review employs the logit model to analyse the relationship between the variables of interest in companies that trade in the Mexican Stock Exchange Market, covering the timeframe from 2018 to 2022. The outcome reveals that there is a direct positive impact between the social corporate responsibility and the corporate reputation among mexican trading companies.
