Abstract

Parasocial relationship is a pseudo-relationship that occurs between fans and a performer (idol). One thing that is interesting for researchers is the parasocial relationship that occurs between K-Pop fans of the NCT group known as NCTZen. The aim of this research is to determine fans' cognitive, affective and behavioral responses from using a special application for fans and idols, namely LYSN Bubble. This research uses a qualitative method with a netnographic approach, which aims to answer cultural phenomena that occur in cyberspace, which in this research is fan activity in the LYSN Bubble application. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and interviews, and analyzed using Spradley analysis techniques. Based on the research results, it was found that fans responded to idol messages on the LYSN Bubble application and received cognitive, affective and behavioral effects. Then, the false feelings felt by fans fall to the level of intense pathology, where fans feel emotional closeness, can feel the idol's feelings and are motivated to do something related to their idol.
