Abstract

The present study purports to find the most favorable treatment configurations by detailed quantitative comparison, judging from both viewpoints of improving the stall margin and suppressing the decrease of compressor efficiency. To be more specific, by selecting several types of configurations which are supposed to have favorable nature and varying over a wide range such factors as axial extent, location and number of slots or grooves, as well as the number and location of buffle plates if they are used, the effects of these treatment configurations were surveyed in a systematic and quantitative manner.
