Abstract
Background: The intrinsically disordered domain 2 of NS5A is required for HCV replication. Results: We characterized a short structural motif in the domain 2 of NS5A. Conclusion: This structural motif in NS5A-D2 is essential for RNA replication. Significance: This work provides a molecular basis for further understanding of the function of the intrinsically disordered domain 2 of HCV NS5A protein.
