Abstract

Eight species and one variety of >Lactarius (Agaricales) occuring in New Zealand are described and illustrated by line drawings of microscopical characters: L. clarkei Clel., L. clarkei var. aurantiorubra var. nov., L. glyciosmus (Fr. ex Fr.) Fr., L. maruiaensis sp. nov., L. novae-zelandiae sp. nov., L. sepiaceus sp. nov., L. tawai sp. nov., L. turpis (Weinm.) Fr., and L. umerensis sp. nov. A new section is erected for L. clarkei and the Madagascan species L. rubroviolascens Heim. A key to species is given and nomina nuda discussed. © 1971 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
