Abstract

A male specimen of the Pygym Sperm Whale (Kogia breviceps) was collected from the French Island of Miquelon (46.degree.58'N,56.degree.19'W) on 8 October 1989. Measurements were taken, and an analysis of .delta.15N in the muscle tissue indicated that it had probably been feeding on offshire squid. The .delta.13C value for the specimen was typical for a marine, plankton-based system.
