Research on Regional Sustainable Development Based on Evaluation of Tourism Competitiveness of 21 Cities (States) in Sichuan Province

Abstract

In accordance with the principles of systemic, hierarchical, and operability, this paper divides into tourism status competitiveness, tourism environmental competitiveness and tourism potential competitiveness to construct an evaluation index system for urban tourism competitiveness. Taking 21 cities in Sichuan Province as the research objects, the tourism competitiveness of each city was evaluated by factor analysis and grey correlation analysis. The evaluation results of these two methods were further evaluated by Kendall synergy coefficient test method. The consistency test and the combination evaluation were conducted, and the tourism competitiveness rankings of each city in Sichuan Province were given. Then, the system cluster analysis classified 21 cities into five levels, according to the evaluation results. Finally, some suggestions on the regional sustainable development in Sichuan Province were listed.
