Abstract
The measurement of child development has quite an extensive history. This section reviews definitions of child development (1.2.1) discusses concepts in the nature of child development (1.2.2) shows a classic example of motor measurements (1.2.3) summarizes typical questions whose answers need proper measurements (1.2.4).
