Abstract

The study covers 308 km2of the Auckland conurbation which has changed from fern and scrub to farmland to predominantly urban landscape since 1840. The arrival and spread of alien plants are discussed in relation to agriculture, horticulture, trade, and industry. © 1987 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
