Abstract
The lack of variety of media used during learning activities, especially on social studies content and learning that is still teacher-centered causes students' interest in learning to decrease so that it affects their learning outcomes. Therefore, we need a learning media that can overcome these problems, so that learning activities can run effectively. The purpose of this study was to create learning media in the form of digital comics based on social studies content projects for fifth grade elementary school students. The type of this research is development by adapting the ADDIE model. The subjects in this study were experts consisting of 1 design expert, 1 material expert, 1 media expert, and 2 instrument experts. While the students consisted of 3 individual test students, 9 small group test students, and 23 effectiveness test students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative and inferential analysis. Data obtained using interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results of this study indicate that the learning media in the form of project-based digital comics is valid to use in the learning process as follows: Learning material experts score 91.66% with very good qualifications, design experts get a score of 90.90% with very good qualifications, experts learning media scored 87.50% with good qualifications, individual trials scored 82.50% with good qualifications, small group trials scored 80.83% with good qualifications. Based on the experimental test of learning media in the form of project-based digital comics for fifth grade elementary school students it was declared effective. The implication of this research is that there is a need for project-based comic learning media in learning activities to increase student interest and learning outcomes
