Abstract
The pressure effect on the Curie temperature (Tc) and the forced magnetostriction for MnGaGe are measured. The value of ∂Tc/∂p is + 1.72K/kbar. The forced magnetostriction at 4.2 K, ∂ω/∂H (ω=ΔV/V) is found to be + 3.81 x 10-9 Oe-1. The results are discussed using a band theory. © 1993 The Japan Society of Applied Physics.
