Adaptación y validación de un instrumento basado en el modelo TPACK para docentes universitarios

Abstract

The TPACK (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) model reflects on the different types of knowledge that teachers must develop to incorporate ICT effectively in their educational practices; therefore, the purpose of this paper was to present the results of the adaptation and validation of a TPACK instrument for university teachers. The final sample consisted of 204 teachers from two institutions in southern Sonora. As part of this process, a Cronbach’s alpha of .96 was obtained for the 36 items of the scale. To determine the construct validity, an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was performed, which showed four factors that explain 68.57% of the total variance. The original instrument is composed of seven dimensions; to verify this, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was performed and a four-factor model was confirmed. The results indicate that it is a valid and reliable instrument for measuring TPACK in university teachers. It is suggested for future research to adjust the instrument for specific areas of study or technologies.El modelo TPACK (Conocimiento Tecnológico Pedagógico y de Contenido) reflexiona sobre los diferentes tipos de conocimiento que deben desarrollar los profesores para incorporar las TIC de forma efectiva en sus prácticas educativas; por lo tanto, el propósito de este trabajo fue presentar los resultados de la adaptación y validación de un instrumento TPACK para profesores universitarios. La muestra final se conformó por 204 docentes de dos instituciones del sur de Sonora. Como parte de este proceso, se obtuvo un Alfa de Cronbach de .96 para los 36 ítems de la escala. Para determinar la validez de constructo se realizó el análisis factorial exploratorio (AFE), que mostró cuatro factores que explican el 68.57% de la varianza total. El instrumento original se compone de siete dimensiones, para comprobarlo se realizó el análisis factorial confirmatorio (AFC) y se confirmó un modelo de cuatro factores. Los resultados indican que es un instrumento válido y confiable para medir el TPACK en docentes universitarios. Se sugiere para futuras investigaciones ajustar el instrumento para áreas de estudio o tecnologías específicas.
