Coordination in Child Protection: A Review of the Literature

Abstract

A new study which draws together a large, diverse and scattered literature - from the disciplines of social and public policy, orgnanisational sociology and social work, and from professional journals in the field of social work, health care, education, law and policing. Part One explores the concept of coordination in the broad field of health and welfare generally. Part Two focuses much more closely on child protection and the realities of collaborative working at the case level. The authors' approach is grounded in their experience in local and central government and in academic study of the issues.
