Abstract

Reviews the book, Interpreting with diverse populations: The unique challenges of interpreters working in multilingual, multicultural contexts edited by R. L. Mckee and J. E. Davis (2010). This book provides readers an inside view into the world of interpreting in multilingual, multicultural contexts, which heretofore has been little recognized in academia. The authors stress the need to meet consumers’ linguistic needs. The information and insight provided in this book are rich and extensive. At the same time, the subject of interpreting in multilingual, multicultural contexts covers a large range of topics and can only benefit from more qualitative and quantitative research on such topics as those presented in the book.
