Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is one of the major complications of diabetes and is the leading cause of early death among people with diabetes. People with diabetes also have higher incidence of hypertension, dyslipidaemia, and obesity, which contribute to increased incidence of cardiovascular disease. The present article focuses on the predisposing factors, management and preventive strategies for cardiovascular disease in diabetes.
