Abstract
The city of Kaskelen in Kazakhstan grapples with organic waste management, presenting an opportunity to optimize biohumus production for sustainable farming. Biohumus, a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer derived from vermicomposting, is crucial for raising soil fertility and supporting sustainable agriculture. This paper investigates Kaskelen's existing organic waste processing and biohumus production, identifying key issues and potential improvements. The core objective is to enhance the composting process to produce high-quality biohumus tailored to local crops and soil needs. Furthermore, the study explores artificial intelligence (AI)-driven vermicomposting procedures for condition monitoring, optimization, and improving productivity and nutritional quality. By maximizing biohumus production, Kaskelen can significantly reduce organic waste, limit environmental pollution, and benefit local agriculture. This initiative not only facilitates sustainable agricultural production but also creates opportunities for micro-entrepreneurship, strengthening the local population, and contributing to environmental stewardship and food security in the region.
