Abstract

Today, it is not difficult for parents to find information, knowledge about how to raise children on the Internet or book stores. However, the knowledge and methods that we apply to children in order to promote their efficiency is a matter that make us take it into consideration. And if we choose the wrong method, or apply the wrong teaching method, it might have not-good influence on the process of formation and development. This paper is based on personal opinion, and is completed by the method of searching for information, documents and previous studies. In the article, there are several parenting methods used by Vietnamese parents and the impact of those methods on the formation of children's personality. Hopefully, parents can adjust their ways of teaching, choose the best and most appropriate methods to teach their children. The paper is also completed by the support of some respondents who are living in Vietnam with the hope that we can find out some effective solutions when teaching children at home The results of the paper shows that the role of famlily plays a rather important, that is, parents needs more attention in order to protect and develop their children’s skills and necessary knowledge.
