Abstract

The article aims to analyze Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) appropriations by children and adolescents, with a focus on digital media and technologies. The data consisted of graphic narratives, in the form of comic books produced by the subjects, as well as oral narratives, in episodic interviews. Twenty-one students from the Anísio Teixeira Park School participated. The results indicate a convergence of appropriations for the individualized use of ICT, with an increasing occupation of time and space in daily life. Most importantly, children and adolescents are notably different in their appropriations.
