Abstract

The genus Polymedon was described by Osten Sacken in Western Diptera; Bull. of the United States Geological Survey of the Territories, iii, 317, 1877. Up to the present time all the species described have come from America. Dr. Becker described longifacies from South America and Dr. Aldrich described superbus from St. Vincent, W. I. The remaining eight forms are all from North America.
