Abstract

The functionality located as part of the gerontological and geriatric assessment has been gaining strength as time passes, important for multi-and interdisciplinary team and as part of the nursing staff that provides care to older adults. In the development work, we present key concepts and the evolution of the different terms that are combined with functionality. This is based upon a thorough review of different authors who are experts in the field, in order to create a comprehensive picture of the functionality, mainly for nursing.
