Abstract
Both B(3∏u0) and B″(1∏lu) surfaces contribute to resonance Raman scattering of iodine, and the interference between these two channels leads to modulation of the intensity profile of overtone progressions, as observed experimentally. The effect is simulated through mixed order semiclassical molecular dynamics. © 1997 American Institute of Physics.
