Abstract

The mean cellular peroxidase content (MCP) of monocytes, neutrophils or eosinophils in peripheral blood was investigated on children with iron deficienc anemia, and it was found that there was a significant correlation between the MCP of monocytes and the mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) of erythrocytes and that MCPs of neutrophils and monocytes were restored to the normal levels, when hematologic response to iron therapy was brought about in iron deficiency anemias. © 1967, Tohoku University Medical Press.
