Abstract

Abstrak Latar Belakang : Ekstrak biji mahoni telah banyak diteliti efektif untuk menurunkan kadar gula darah pada hewan uji tikus dalam dosis 50 mg/KgBB. Efektifitas ekstrak biji mahoni dalam menurunkan kadar gula darah dapat dikembangkan dalam sediaan matriks transdermal patch Tujuan : penelitian ini adalah pembuatan sediaan matriks patch transdermal biji mahoni. Metode : pembuatan matriks patch transdermal dibuat dengan mengoptimasi PVA, HPMC, dan PVP dengan software Design Expert versi 10 menggunakan metode Simplex Lattice Design. Evaluasi formula yang dilakukan meliputi kesan visual patch, ketebalan (cm), variasi bobot (%), susut pengeringan (%), dan drug content (%). Hasil : berdasarkan analisis software Design Expert versi 10 diperoleh 14 run. Masing-masing formula dilakukan optimasi dan diperoleh hasil nilai kesan visual 13-16, ketebalan 0,1007-0,1030 cm, variasi bobot 0,1415-1461 gram, susut pengeringan 9,28-15,25 %, drug content 60,28-94,44%. Analisis ANOVA diperoleh adanya perbedaan signifikan antar tiap run pada uji kesan visual dan variasi bobot, sehingga digunakan untuk penentuan formula optimal. Hasil analisis formula optimal diperoleh formula PVA:HPMC:PVP dengan konsentrasi 4,92:1,02:0,55 % dan nilai desirability 0,829. Hasil uji validasi menggunakan uji t software openstat didapatkan persamaan yang diperoleh valid dengan nilai p 0,787 (p> 0,05). The effectiveness of mahogany seed extracts in reducing sugar levels can be used in transdermal patch matrix preparations. Objective: This study is to manufacture preparations of mahogany seed transdermal matrix patches. Method: create a transdermal patch matrix created by optimizing PVA, HPMC, and PVP with the Design Expert version 10 software using the Simplex Lattice Design method. Evaluation formulas include visual index, thickness (cm), net weight (%), shrinkage drying (%), and drug content (%). Results: completion of the Expert Tool version 10 design analysis obtained 14 run. Each formula is optimized and obtained 13-16 visual values, thickness of 0.1007-0.1030 cm, weight of 0.1415-1461 grams, shrinkage of 9.28-15.25%, content medication 60, 28-94.44%. ANOVA analysis produces significant numbers between averages on visual measurements and weights, formulas for optimal determination.
