Abstract

Stictocephala bisonia Kopp et Yonke, 1977 has been recorded for the first time in three localities in Poland. This is a Nearctic species introduced into Europe at the beginning of the 20th century and has expanded its range ever since. We briefly characterize this new treehopper and provide a key to the identification of the Polish species of Membracidae.
