Abstract

We have reported the development of virtual rehabilitation system using motion capture and vibration motor. The rehabilitation occupational therapy in our study is moving the box. Subjects recognize as a grasping motion by bending their finger near the box. At that time, in the grasping operation, feedback control was performed such that feelings of touching the virtual box is given to the subjects with the activation of the vibration motor. The purpose of this research is to add force feedback to virtual rehabilitation system for increasing reality. In the experiment, measurements were performed by three healthy adult men, and the effect of the presence or absence of force feedback on the results was confirmed.
