Abstract

Presents a simple experiment to demonstrate the principle of the greenhouse effect and the greenhouse potential of various gases. Illumination of beakers by a strong light source; Blackened disk below beakers; Measurement of temperatures; Reaching of radiation equilibrium and constant temperature; Addition of a greenhouse gas; Chlorofluorocarbon use.
