Abstract

The synthesis of a carboranyl nucleic acid precursor 2-0-(o-carboran-l-yl methyl)uridine,.1, and a carboranyl nucleotide, _8, is described. Significantly greater incorporation and persistenceof _1 in F98 glioma cells, compared with the clinically used Na2B12H11SH isobserved. © 1991, IUPAC
