Abstract
Rattan is one of the most reliable commodities for state revenues. Therefore, the government targets Indonesia have to become the largest raw material producer of rattan. For the city of Pariaman itself, rattan craft industry is the third seeded sector after clothing and food industry. The purpose of this research aims to formulate the right development strategy planning for rattan industry in Pariaman City and to determine the priority of company development strategy that can be used by rattan industry by using QSPM method. The analysis was conducted to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats posed by the rattan industry in Pariaman City using SWOT matrix. SWOT analysis yielded nine alternative development strategies. The alternative strategy is analyzed by using QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) matrix to find out alternative strategies that have the highest attractiveness score.
