Les paysages géomorphologiques du Haut Atlas central (Maroc) : potentiel éducatif et éléments pour la médiation scientifique

Abstract

Le potentiel éducatif des géomorphosites permet d’identifier des sites et des thématiques qui pourraient être intégrés dans une démarche de médiation scientifique. Cet article décrit le potentiel éducatif de huit paysages géomorphologiques situés dans le Géoparc mondial UNESCO du M’Goun (Haut Atlas central, Maroc). Pour chaque site choisi, plusieurs thématiques sont identifiées et deux critères sont évalués : la visibilité et le niveau de complexité. La description de ces critères permet aux utilisateurs potentiels des sites de construire un plan de médiation scientifique basé sur une sélection de sites et de thématiques cohérente et adaptée au public visé. Deux thématiques principales, fortement liées au contexte géologique du Haut Atlas central, ont été identifiées : la géomorphologie structurale et le rôle de l’eau. Orienter la médiation scientifique autour de ces deux thématiques permettrait de mettre en lumière les principales caractéristiques spécifiques et distinctives de la géomorphologie régionale et de proposer des offres cohérentes si un plan de médiation est pensé à l’échelle du géoparc.The educative potential of geomorphosites allows the identification of sites and themes that could be integrated into interpretation (or médiation scientifique) plans. This article describes the educative potential of eight geomorphological landscapes located in the M’Goun UNESCO Global Geopark (Central High Atlas, Morocco). For each selected site, several themes are identified, and two criteria are evaluated: visibility and complexity. The description of these criteria allows potential users of the sites to build interpretation plans based on a coherent selection of sites and themes adapted to the target audience. Two main themes, strongly linked to the geological context of the Central High Atlas, have been identified: structural geomorphology and the role of water. Focusing interpretation on these two themes would highlight the main specific and distinctive characteristics of regional geomorphology and provide coherent offers if an interpretation plan is designed at the scale of the geopark.
