Abstract

Background: In this era of change the responsibilities of academicians have increased, and now faculty members are supposed to play many other roles besides their traditional roles of teaching and research. Role stress is a burning issue nowadays, particularly in this context. Stressful encounters over a long period of time lead to reduced physical and mental well-being and can end up in a chronic state of exhaustion or burnout
