B2Y 4A2, Canada J (Journal-Article) M (Marine) The first purpose of the present note is to examine the range of validity of the equations used in studies when there are relatively slow topographic variations in the along-shelf direction, spatial variations in bottom friction coefficient, and low frequency (sub-inertial) temporal variations in the forcing.
