Abstract
The aim of this study is to thoroughly investigate the typical and characteristic aspects that define Book-Art / Artist's Books as such, and not as any other artistic discipline. This examination shows a systematization of peculiarities, analysis of specific characteristics and the possibility to manipulate their sequence, text and form, as distinctive elements of the essence of Book-Art / Artist's Book. The investigation also establishes the multiple and different ways of approaching the act of reading, the text itself and the structure of Book-Art / Artist's Book. In addition, it confirms the richness, versatility and malleability that Book-Art / Artist's Book offer and highlights the relevance of the individuality and singularity of Book-Art / Artist's Book made by specific artists.
