Abstract

General anesthesia (GA) can play on important role in the facilitation of dental treatment for individuals who present with challenging behaviors. This article presents a review of the literature discussing indications fur the utilization of GA in the treatment of dental patients with special needs. © 2008 Special Care Dentistry Association and Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
