Abstract

The magnetic-phase diagram, in the H-T plane, of MnF2 was measured using ultrasonic and differential magnetization techniques. The paramagnetic- antiferromagnetic boundary, for H→ along the c axis, is well represented by TN-T=(1.65±0.15)×10-10H2°K/G2. The triple point is at T3=65.1±0.2°K and H3=120±4 kG. The phase boundaries are discussed in light of existing theories. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
